Size: PINT
Color: AQUAMARINE
Closure: applied ring collar mouth for a cork stopper
Appearance: whittly and sparkling glass
Condition: no damage
Embossing: n/a
Base: bare iron pontil scar
Age: 1850's
Availability: Scarce early pint. In the past this series of jars has been identified anecdotally as a "Zettle" jar, often equipped with a plastic reproduction Zettle patent lid and sheet metal clamp. More likely they are simply an early utility jar that was made to be sealed with a cork. The pint size is much more scarce than the quart. A great looking early jar.
