Color: LIGHT CORNFLOWER BLUE
Closure: rare original tinned sheet iron cap in beautiful condition
Appearance: sparkling glass
Condition: no damage, normal roughness and flaking of the sheared and not-ground mouth
Base: smooth unmarked
Age: 1860's
Availability: Extremely rare in this small size and color. Ex: Bill Dudley collection. Bill originally purchased this jar at the noted Carson Auction in Terre Haute, Indiana in August 2000. The Carson Collection was gathered in the 1950's and 1960's, and had been stored by the local university since 1969. This jar was among a small number of rare jars in the collection, and no doubt the best.
