Color: LAVENDER tone (more blue-ish than the expected amethyst tint) this color resulted from the jar being zapped
Closure: light green glass lid and original wire bail
Appearance: shiny glass
Condition: sliver chip on the smooth mouth
Embossing: strong
Base: "PUTNAM 36"
Age: early 1900's (smooth lip finish)
