DESCRIPTION

A very dark, almost blackish amber quart "THE MAGIC (Star) FRUIT JAR". A gorgeous example that is in basically flawless condition. On a wall shelf the color displays as nearly black. In a window the dark reddish amber color is easily visible. Original 3-piece cast iron and iron wire clamp assembly and correct original glass lid with 1886 patent date, in a matching black amber color. The lid is essentially perfect which is rare to find in any Magic Star lid. The jar is in beautiful shape with no damage or stains including a perfect ground rim. Has been professionally cleaned to restore the original luster. On the base is a "1". A beautiful specimen in the rarest color for this series.
